An application used to create a transition effect between two images and save the resulting animation on your computer as a GIF or AVI file
Free Morphing is a software solution that can help you edit your photos. The application allows users to create animations from various file formats by transforming the sequence of frames.
The user interface is clean, and it surely appeals to beginners who want to edit photos pretty quickly. It supports a wide range of file formats, such as: JPEG, TIFF, PCX, BMP, GIF, ICO, PNG, WMF, DCX, AVI, MPEG, WMV, and many others.
Unfortunately, the app doesn’t allow you to drag and drop the files directly into the main window, so you should manually add them by using the built-in browse function. You can edit the photos by drawing as many lines as you want on separate frames. Of course, if you add more frames, then the output animations run smoother.
Free Morphing packs only a few options for dealing with the editing process. You can specify the number of frames and create a symmetric sequence. It is also possible to zoom in or out either on the source image, or on the target photo. The data can be saved as GIF, AVI, TIF, DCX or PDF.
You may add, edit, save or delete the lines that you have drawn on the pictures. The program provides a dedicated window which offers a real-time preview of the generated animations.
During our testing we have noticed that the program is able to accomplish a task pretty quickly and without errors.
To sum up, Free Morphing proves to be a handy application that can help you create animations pretty easily. It still needs some improvements in some areas, and we’d have liked to see support for the drag and drop function and more configurable parameters for the editing process. However, it does what it says, and is also light on your system resources.
